The Wensky Beer brewery has Polish roots and was founded in 2009 in the city of Araucária, located in the metropolitan region of Curitiba, state of Paraná, Brazil. It currently produces 13 styles of beers, using the best raw materials and the most refined manufacturing techniques, as we are passionate about making quality beers.

All beers produced at Wensky Beer are carefully crafted to please beer connoisseurs. The graphic language created for the labels, the outstanding flavors of the recipes, the noble and selected ingredients, the modern processes and avant-garde concepts, all these factors together make the Wensky Beer brewery a reference in quality, offering TO JEST PIWO! (This is beer!).

Labis Design has created 3 labels of the folklore line creating a visual identity for each kind of line through the Brand Language Design method.

Project Goal

The goal for create the folklore line of the labels was to give a strong personality to the line, so that the consumer could immediately associate the kind of beer to the character. The graphic creation of the labels moves away from the traditional graphic language of beers. Here, the characters of Brazilian folklore are not mascots or icons, they are the label.

The characters were created with a unique trait, which reinforces the personality of each one and the originality of the label. The artistic traits, made with colored brush strokes on a black background, give to the labels a strong visual impact and they are printed on BOPP metallic paper. Labis Design has also created a special gift packaging for the folklore line of the beer.

Curupira American IPA

Pure malt beer, strong, clear and golden color, it has a high bitterness and noble aromas of American hops, deriving from the dry hopping process with Zeus hops.

Short stature, fiery hair and feet backwards: it is a Curupira, the guardian of the forests, animals and of the American IPA of Wensky Beer. Perfect character to illustrate this beer of the high alcohol content.

Saci Amber Ale

Extra light pure malt beer, it has an amber color, medium bitter and noble hops aromas, deriving from the dry hopping process, with cascade hops.

Light and refreshing like all American Amber Ale, the illustrated character is Saci Pererê; he has a cap on his head and a pipe in his mouth, he argues with everyone without fear… you already thought about he does not jump on one leg. This fun character of Brazilian folklore is the protagonist of this Amber Ale.

Lobisomen American Stout

Pure malt beer, dark, medium bitter and aromas malt and toasted coffee, with light aromas of American hop citrus, it perfectly combines with the character that illustrates it: the werewolf. ”Half a wolf, half a man, watch out for the werewolf on a full moon night.”
