Desfiacoco was born in 2002 as a group of studies. The objective was to discuss the role of design in society, under a social and sustainable approach. The study group is gone, but their ideals remain rooted in the DNA of the studio, which is now coordinated by designer Gustavo Engelhardt.
The studio is constantly moving toward alternative ideas, materials and processes. Each project is thought out, planned and executed to surprise, and for this reason Desfiacoco does not stick to labels or pre-established concepts.
Labis Design created through Brand Language Design the new visual identity of Desfiacoco, enabling the harmonization and identification of the concept of the brand with its products.
Those who believe in Design can not refrain from looking at themselves and rethink. To communicate their essential characteristics and express their positioning effectively, in 2009 Desfiacoco decided that it was time to redesign their entire visual identity.
A dynamic logo was created for adapt to all situations and stages of the brand. Naming was better represented: Desfiacoco refers to the use of natural raw materials and ecologically correct, and, moreover, there is a metaphor embedded in the name.
” Skipping the Coconut ” is used here to explore ideas that are in the head,
one by one, from the conception of the concept, to the planning and development to the final product.
