Banana Milanesa – Deforma Mostra Design

Banana Milanesa was born as a cultural vein of Labis Design to promote independent initiatives that spread culture in its various forms. Thanks to the Brand Language Design, we developed the whole concept of the event, as well as its visual identity.

The Event

The great Banana Milanesa event was performed for two editions in parallel to the Week of Design of Curitiba, the Semana D. The Deforma Mostra Design was created with the objectives of promoting, informing and demystifying the design in all its spheres, inviting product designers, graphic designers, fashion designers, illustrators and artists to show their works.

To disclose the event Labis Design created: posters, flyers, invitations, pins, totems, T-shirts and identification flags.

Deforma Mostra Design offered, in addition to the exhibitions, conferences to offer to the public various and relaxed experiences.

In both editions, bands and independent artists had a participation, and the performances of designers, stylists and artists too, with presentations scheduled every day.

The exhibition served as a showcase for the new and well-known designers and to bring the public closer to design and art, creating a space to promote encounters and develop culture.

After the success of the two editions of Deforma Mostra Design, we expanded the project to editorial area and launched the Deforma Magazine in 2014.

A Magazine

The project has expanded, to diversify the public, to go further. And that is why, in November 2014, the Deforma Magazine was launched.

The content edition of the magazine is affective. Deforma departs from the judgment and the pretense of defining anything.

Deforma Magazine is a vehicle of culture, and as a vehicle, it just wants to lead, to drive, to tell, to delight.

The graphic line does not depart much from what had been done for the Deforma Mostra Design in previous years, moving away totally from a traditional route.

The laid-back aspect is brought about by the overlap of images and deconstruction of the layout, with texts that do not respect the horizontal pattern and blocks of text and images that integrate and complete.
